Claudia was born in the colorful city of Puebla, a few miles south of Mexico City. Some of her earliest memories were summers in the garden with her brother and two sisters, playing basketball and chasing each other around. But when it was time for them to be calm and quiet, their mother came up with the clever idea to give them notebooks, paper, and lots of crayons. Claudia and her older sister spent hours drawing as they listened to music.

As a child, Claudia was always inspired by picture books, and now her two beautiful children give her lots of inspiration as well.
